One month down, takes me back - wondering how I would get through the wait. The beauty of this adoption for you is that you have five at home helping to make the fly by! But the wait is still always so hard. I hate waiting. thinking of you!
June 2008 - discussed ET adoption with our SW/search for adoption agency 17th July 2008 - Made Request to Agency 31st July2008- Requested update of our Homestudy 4th August 2008 - Sent in Application to Agency 4th September 2008 - Signed Contract August 2008-January 2009 - Collecting numerous amounts of papers for Dossier 9th February 2009 - Received HS (yes, it took over 6 months due to issues with Hague, USCIS, Production Agencies etc etc, sigh) 10th February2009- Applied for I-600A 13th March 2009- Homestudy for Multicultural Class Attachment and update of HS 27th March 2009 - Homestudy was Denied by USCIS - needs to be re-written. UGH!!!! This never ends 8th April 2009 - Received new draft of HS - looks good 4th May 2009- Received new HS and sent off to USCIS 12th May 2009 - Received H-171 (immigration approval) 13th May 2009 - Got EVERYTHING notarized and sent off to agency 19th May 2009 - dossier reviewed by agency and sent off to WA for authentication 29th May 2009 - Received DHL Tracking number from our agency of dossier on its way to chosen country - YEAH!!! 29th June 2009 - 1 month since put on the waiting list 28th July 2009 - Conference Call with Agency about "Preparing for Referral and Travel" 29th July 2009 - 2 months since put on the waiting list 29th August 2009 - 3 months since put on the waiting list 29th September 2009 - 4 months since put on the waiting list 21st October 2009 -( after 4 months, 3 weeks and one day) REFERRAL !!!!!! 6th-11th November 2009- pre-visit to our little chunk of love :-) 21st November 2009 - received court date of 16th of December 2009 16th December 2009 - we passed court!! Yochana Dursitu is legally ours praise the Lord!!! 29th December 2009 - received Embassy Appointment 4th February 2010 - Embassy Appointment 5th February 2010 - Yo is getting signed out of the orphanage
