We're here to announce to day:
NOTHING
Another week of NOTHING. We're 4 weeks away from USCIS to annul our request to immigrate another orphan - and NOTHING has been done nor happened regarding another Homestudy update. We received a short e-mail from our social worker (after harassing her every 2nd day via leaving messages on the AM and regular e-mails) that all the papers are out of her hand and "should be" with the Homestudy production Agency, which we called and the responsible person was not "in the office" - or whatever or where ever. Jesse and I now made it our goal to at least once a day harass somebody in this Homestudy triangle until we get results or our time crunch is up and then we'll see what we do - we have options I guess. things will not be pretty if we lose a lot of $$$ in 4 weeks.
This is so frustrating! Last week I was about to give up and move on and say screw it, I have enough on my plate with 5 children in the home and can spend and invest our hard earned money in another way instead of pumping it into agencies and foreign countries, but then in all your turmoil, frustration and anger you hear a soft voice whisper in your ear :"Mel you have to keep going." Because of my unwillingness to go on, a child/our child should not come home where she is supposed to be. We have to keep going whether our request to Immigration expires or not, whether we have to start from scratch or not. We have to keep going until there's nothing we can do anymore and then some. Our child will come home and if i have to become a social worker myself, lol.
Country Fact from where we adopt:
60.8% of the people in this country are Christians - praise the LORD!!!

Big sigh but I really like the idea you and Jesse have to harrass someone every day. That will work.
Is there anyway you can start over working on immigration approval now, just in case? JUST IN CASE.
Probably not. USCIS is waiting for an acceptable HS and if that doesn't happen in the next - uhm 4 weeks then our request will get annulled and we have to start over again. Even if we were to start a new 600-A process now, we do not have a HS to send along with it :-(
